How to grill halloumi
Remove the halloumi cheese from its package and cut it into slices of about 1.2-1.4 inches with a knife. While you cut it, you will hear the characteristic squeaking sound of this cheese, just like when you chew it.
Bring your oven grill or grill pan to a medium to high temperature and grill the halloumi slices for approximately three minutes on each side, until you see them turning golden. You can use some olive oil, but it is not necessary. Remove the cheese from the oven or the grill pan and place it on absorbent paper towel.
That’s it! Your grilled halloumi cheese, juicy and crunchy, is ready to accompany any recipe you can imagine.

- Preheat your oven grill to 200 degrees Celsius, or your grill pan over medium to high heat.
- Cut the halloumi into 1.2-1.4 inches thick slices.
- Grill for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden.
