Halloumi Bagels

Ingredients

200 g self-raising flour

1/2 tsp baking powder

100 g Charalambides Christis Halloumi, grated

175 g yoghurt

1 egg

1 tbsp white sesame seeds

For serving:

Charalambides Christis Margarine Original

Honey

Instructions

In a bowl, mix the flour with the baking powder and then transfer it onto a clean counter.

Add the yoghurt and grated halloumi, and start kneading until you form a soft dough.

Let the dough rest for 2 minutes, then divide it into 4 equal pieces. Shape each piece into a ball and then make a hole in the centre to create the classic bagel shape.

Place all four bagels on a baking tray lined with parchment paper and brush the tops with beaten egg.

Sprinkle with sesame seeds and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 18 minutes.

Slice, spread with margarine and honey, and enjoy.
